Detention officers promoted

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has announced their newly promoted Detention Supervisors. Thomas Davidson and Cody Delgado have been promoted to the rank of Corporal and Cody Stephenson has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant. All three men have demonstrated that they have the knowledge, experience, and drive to excel in their new rank at our Adult Detention Facility. Public safety concern stems from proposed state budget cut

KINGMAN – Kingman City Manager Ron Foggin has expressed concern over potential dire consequences of the $1.5 billion income tax cut he said Governor Doug Ducey has proposed in the state budget. “Doesn’t that sound wonderful (sic)?,” Foggin rhetorically asked city council members during their April 6 meeting. “I will suggest that it is not wonderful.” Foggin said the trickle-down effect would be a loss of $1.2 million for Kingman’s general fund in the next budget year.
