BULLHEAD CITY  – Severe lightning storms with high winds caused scattered outages in Mohave Electric Cooperative’s service territory early Tuesday morning. MEC crews responded to ten separate outages beginning at 1:15 a.m. An outage in MEC’s eastern service area resulted in 2,546 MEC members without power due to storm damage to a pole ground wire. The outage occurred at 6:43 a.m. Crews responded and made repairs restoring power was at 8:07 a.m. Another storm-related outage near Bullhead City Airport, resulted in 582 MEC members without power. KINGMAN – The recently adopted $272.5 million city budget was the main topic on Monday, July 5 when Mayor Jen Miles spoke to the KRW (Kingman Republican Women). Mayor Miles advised the group that the budget was approved (in an online meeting) on June 28 after six months of process.
