MOHAVE COUNTY – Local candidates have been off and running for some time now. Tuesday, July 30 is Primary Election Day in Arizona. The Mohave County Elections Department has been busy with election workers gearing up for the hectic day at the polls.
BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Fire Chief Patrick Moore was named Fire Chief of the Year by the Arizona Fire Chiefs Association during the July 16 leadership conference in Glendale.
BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Council has awarded a Fort Mohave firm a $3.8-million contract to build the Bullhead City Animal Resource Center (BARC). Four construction companies provided proposals, and Precise Builders, Inc. of Fort Mohave submitted the low bid.
KINGMAN – Some major pharmaceutical companies across the nation have so far agreed to pay about $45-billion to states and their political subdivisions to resolve litigation alleging culpability for the opioid addiction epidemic.
KINGMAN – The American Cancer Society recently awarded a $15,000 transportation grant to KRMC’s WL Nugent Cancer Center.
For patients with cancer, transportation challenges can create barriers to receiving treatment. Many people need daily or weekly treatment, often for several months.
KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is thrilled to announce its pivotal role in the transformative I-40 TradePort Corridor project, enhancing trade along Interstate 40 from California to New Mexico. On June 26, 2024, the U.S. Department of Transportation awarded RAISE Grant funds to this project, marking a significant investment in new infrastructure for Kingman, Winslow, Arizona, and the Albuquerque area.
