LHC council approves Allo agreement, shoreline preservation

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Council meeting took place on Tuesday, September 12 at the Lake Havasu Police Department at 5:30 p m. Council members began the meeting with the approval of abandonment of public utility drainage management.   The City Clerk’s office certified the resolution.  This was followed by a motion passed for the planned development rezoning.  The rezoning for Hilltop Community Church, 3190 McCulloch Blvd., was approved including multi-family parking standards. MOHAVE COUNTY – Overwhelming opposition was sometimes fiercely expressed during a raucous public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend that the Board of Supervisors deny overlay zoning requested for a renewable energy project about 19 miles north of Kingman. Chairman LaJuanna Gillette repeatedly pounded her gavel and admonished the crowd against clapping and jeering as she struggled to maintain control of Wednesday’s Commission meeting in downtown Kingman. Sonic donates to Kingman schools

In August, SONIC Foundation donated $1 million to support local education across the country Sonic  Drive-In is dedicated to getting teachers and students the classroom supplies they need for the new school year. In August, the Sonic Foundation donated $1 million to help fund requests on DonorsChoose, a national nonprofit that allows individuals to donate directly to public school classroom requests submitted by teachers. The funding supported teachers in Kingman who received a combined donation of $1,926.00 from the Sonic Foundation.
