KINGMAN – Widening Stockton Hill Road to six lanes between Detroit and Airway Avenue is the number one priority identified in the updated Transportation Master plan adopted during the Dec. 5 Kingman City Council meeting. The plan recommends 23 low to top priority infrastructure projects totaling almost $700-million to maintain sufficiency in the local transportation network through 2045. The master plan was completed by Kimley-Horn, a design and engineering firm that served as consultant under contract. Paul Smith is working to qualify for the Aug. 6, 2024 democratic primary election for Dist. 3 supervisor.    A pair of republicans, incumbent Dist. 3 supervisor Buster Johnson and state senator Sonny Borrelli, are seeking the GOP nomination in the same district.

KINGMAN – The first of three Interstate 40 Traffic Interchange (TI) projects proposed in Kingman should be under construction next spring. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) intends to begin advertising this month for bids for phase one construction of the West Kingman TI at Beale St. The goal of the infrastructure upgrade is to provide free flowing connection for I-40 and US 93 motorists without having to stop at intersection ramps.
