Cabrera takes plea in child porn case

KINGMAN – A Kingman man is heading to the Arizona Department of Corrections for downloading child pornography. Nicholas Cabrera, 55, pleaded guilty Monday to three counts reduced to attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.

Deputy Mohave County Attorney Karolina Czaplinska said a cyber tip prompted an investigation that traced to an account Cabrera used to engage in the illegal activity. Judge Jantzen approved the plea deal and scheduled a January 13 sentencing hearing. Terms of the agreement require the Court to impose a 5- to 10-year prison term followed by lifetime supervised probation. Dave Hawkins
