Bullhead’s Senior Enrichment Center now open

BULLHEAD CITY – The City of Bullhead City’s newly expanded Senior Enrichment Center is open and in full swing with daily events and activities. With the new addition, the Senior Enrichment Center has expanded and modified its operating hours.

The Nutrition Center, which serves breakfast and lunch, is open every Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Activity Center is open on Mondays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and every Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Bullhead City Senior Enrichment Center offers a diverse range of activities for active adults aged 50 and older. The Senior Enrichment Center is located at 2275 Trane Road between Bullhead City Hall and Ken Forvargue Park.

Visitors can meet new friends and participate in a variety of fun activities by attending the events listed below. Continental breakfast is available from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for just $2. For those not interested in breakfast, coffee, tea, or juice may be purchased separately during the same time for only $1.  Congregate lunch is available to individuals aged 60 years or older or those with disabilities who have a physician’s statement of need from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily, with a suggested donation of $3.

The Enrichment Center is introducing a new way for clients to quickly check in and out of the building by implementing an age verification badge that that can be picked up at the front desk by stating their name and then dropped off when they leave. The badge helps staff members identify client needs during their visits. Anyone can learn more by visiting BullheadCity.com/WelcomeSeniors or visiting the center.

In addition to the activities listed below, at 2 p.m., the enrichment center offers educational webinars and broadcasting classes to teach viewers useful everyday skills, including how to use a smartphone, financial tracking, computer skills, online ordering tips, and various ways to utilize modern technology. Offered classes are listed at the Enrichment Center on the Friday before each class.

An up-to-date online calendar can be accessed from the Bullhead City Direct App by scrolling to the Senior Enrichment Activities Calendar and looking for the individual dates and times. The calendar also provides access to additional details about the events and a direct phone number for any questions. The Bullhead City Direct app is available for Android and iOS devices from the Google Play Store and App Store.
