KINGMAN – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reports the June 11 arrest of a Kingman woman who allegedly fled the scene after striking two pedestrians with her blue Volkswagon before fleeing the scene the previous day. Deputies were dispatched at 6:00 p.m. on June 10 to the north Kingman area of Mallard Dr. and Dove Lane.

The 56 and 34-year-old Kingman women who were struck at that location were transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center, and the latter was flown on to a higher-level trauma center in Las Vegas. Both were reported in stable condition on June 12.

Detectives were able to locate the Volkswagon and execute a search warrant at a residence in the 3600 block of Quail Lane.

The suspect identified as Donna Bedard, 54, Kingman, was arrested for two counts each of aggravated assault and endangerment and failure to remain at the scene of an injury accident. Bedard was booked into the Adult Detention Center.

The MCSO was unable to indicate whether or how the victims might have been acquainted and how they came to be in the area where they were struck.
