Cookie Crawl on Gingerbread Lane

KINGMAN – The Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce will host “Crawl on Gingerbread Lane” Cookie Crawl on Saturday, Dec. 14. The event will have you crawling from business to business in Historic downtown Kingman along the newly renovated Beale Street.

Cookie container and passport pickup: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce,

309 E Beale St. Cookie Crawl: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cash prize raffle drawing for completed passports.

Hillsdale College looking at Kingman site

KINGMAN – The non-profit Excellence in Traditional Education (ETE) organization is working to harness the Hillsdale College curriculum and build a new school to provide Kingman area families a back to basics learning model.

A seven-member Board of Directors has launched a website as it makes public its effort to secure a ten-acre site and raise funds for a  construction campaign. Director and State representative John Gillette says public education is failing, despite $11 billion in funding in Arizona.

Casinos continue tradition of Thanksgiving meals for area’s homeless students

LAUGHLIN / BULLHEAD CITY – Dozens of students and their families in the Bullhead City School District will again have traditional Thanksgiving meals, following donations by the Aquarius and Edgewater Casino Resorts in Laughlin, Hope United Methodist Church in Bullhead City, and the Bullhead City Lions Club.

Golden Entertainment’s Aquarius/Edgewater “Feed A Family” program provided 42 turkey meals with trimmings from side dishes to dessert for BCSD families.  BCSD also received five complete meals from Hope UMC and six from the Lions Club.
