Dear Editor,

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place, that is the mirage that the people of Kingman have been facing for decades when addressing the City Council. This illusive phenomenon is both rhetorical and optical in perception but at the end of the day, the month or the years, the only ones being deceived are the good people of our town.

KINGMAN – The Kingman Route 66 Fest returns October 11 and 12, beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 11, and 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 12. It closes each day at 9 p.m. Route 66 (Andy Devine Avenue) will have a hard closure between Fairgrounds Boulevard and Harrison Street starting on Friday, October 11 at 8 a.m. and will reopen on Sunday, October 13 at 12 a.m. A detour route will be in place to guide motorists around the closure.

The festival celebrates all things Route 66 from classic cars to road trip music and street art to food truck fare.

Pregnancy Center to host benefit tea

KINGMAN – The Advice and Aid Pregnancy Center will host a Benefit Tea on Saturday, October 19, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at College Park Community Center, 4873 Van Nuys Road. Tickets are $15 for 15 and older. For more information call 928-692-1301.
