KINGMAN – The public is invited to the Mohave Republican Forum (MRF) meeting on Wednesday, September 11, at 5:30 p.m. Guest speakers will be Mohave County Board of Supervisors candidates Travis Lingenfelter and Don Martin.
MRF meeting are now being held at the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce building at 309 E. Beale Street (the building with the MCC signage). The meeting room should be available by 4:30 p.m. and the program begins at 5:30 PM.

KINGMAN – Kingman Regional Medical Center’s (KRMC) 35th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held at the Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 7. Festivities will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. An awards ceremony and lunch will follow the tournament.
The $100 entry fee per player covers green fees (including a cart) and a goody bag with a towel and other prizes. The event will also feature raffles, cash prizes, and various challenges for the golfers. Proceeds from the tournament support two essential programs:
KINGMAN – The 7th Annual Monsoon Madness 5K run will be held Saturday, Sept. 7. The run is a fundraiser for the Lee Williams and Kingman High Schools’ cross-country programs. Monies raised from the event will go toward entry fees, uniforms, equipment, and transportation costs. The race starts at White Cliffs Middle School at 7 a.m. Call 970-314-5689 to register or for more information.
BULLHEAD CITY – A Prescott Valley based firm has been awarded a $2.6-million contract for making improvement along the Bullhead Parkway in Bullhead City. The Arizona State Transportation Board approved the contract for Asphalt Paving & Supply, Inc. (APS) during its Aug. 16 meeting in Safford.
The low bid submitted by APS was $557,000 (17.5%) under the state estimate. The project runs from Silver Creek Road to Laredo Drive.
“The work consists of raised median construction, pavement markings application, signing and lighting installation, and other related work,”
KINGMAN – First Friday will be held in downtown Kingman on Friday, Sept. 6, beginning at 5:30 p.m. There will be live music, specials, roller skating, games, food trucks, and vendors! Several shops will be open late. A balloon drop will be held in front of The Patio, 221 E. Beale St., at 6 p.m.
