LAKE HAVASU CITY – ASU at Lake Havasu had something unique to share last week at their Bridge to the World celebration. Opening night of the event took place on Wednesday, March 13 and continued on Thursday, March 14 at ASU’s Learning Resource Center.

In 2012, ASU at Lake Havasu opened its doors adding educational value to the mini beach town. The university offers a wide range of degrees in science, business, health, and a variety of many other in demand fields.

The Bridge to the World celebration was an exhibit that illustrated the school’s diverse students from all over the world. The show honored their distinct customs, cultures, and traditions of the campus’s international students.

The college’s enrollment is growing and is reaching global expansion.  Currently, the school has 27 countries where students have traveled from to earn their degrees.

ASU invited the community to indulge in some of these student’s cultures while visiting with some of their traditions right on campus. Free maps were provided for all attendees so that everyone had the chance to explore 14 out of the 27 countries of these students.

The map started off with the United States. Guests were then able to make their way to other countries like Greece, Pakistan, Australia, Nigeria, and plenty more. Facts were included in the displays for each country that provided engaging overviews of each country.

Attendees got a scoop of their architecture, economy, family structures, celebrated holidays, traditional handcrafts, and even popular sports. Their native languages were included in the brochures so that visitors could engage with the international students.

ASU at Lake Havasu prides itself as being a public research university that aims to share the advancement of exploration and discovery through community events.
