LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation received a generous $4,200 donation from Craig Plumbing covering the cost of swim lessons for 100 kids.
“The timing could not be more perfect with August being Drowning Impact Awareness Month,” said Aquatic Supervisor Swan Cooke. We appreciate the donation very much and look forward to empowering more children in the community to learn and become more confident in the water.”
Caitlin Craig from Craig Plumbing presented a check to Lake Havasu City to cover the cost of swim lessons for 100 children.
“As a mom with a toddler and another on the way, I want to remind everyone to watch those kiddos around water,” Caitlin said. “All of us at Craig Plumbing want to make sure all kids have the opportunity to learn how to swim at no cost to the family. Our goal is to provide 100 kids with free swim lessons creating another layer of safety for our kids around water.”
Registration opens September 9, with classes beginning October 7.
