LAUGHLIN, Nev. – Aquarius Casino Resort and Edgewater Casino Resort will celebrate the season of giving with two beloved annual holiday traditions benefiting local Laughlin-area families in need: the 14th annual Christmas Tree Silent Auction and the “Feed-A-Family” charitable initiative. The “Feed-A-Family” initiative will take place now through Thursday, Dec. 25, while the Christmas Tree Auction will take place now through Sunday, Dec. 14.
Guests can get into the holiday spirit by placing bids on nine uniquely themed and beautifully decorated Christmas trees displayed in the Aquarius lobby. Each tree will sparkle with hundreds of ornaments and shimmering lights, decorated with themes including patriotic; red, white and silver candy cane; retirement village; Polar Express; A Coffee House Christmas; Wizard of Oz; Mickey Mouse; bells and balls; and poinsettia. Bidding will start at $500 per tree, with minimum increases of $50. Bids may be placed at the True Rewards Center at either Aquarius or Edgewater. Trees will also be available for outright purchase for $1,900, with all proceeds benefiting the “Feed-A-Family” program.
Running concurrently with the Christmas Tree Auction, the “Feed-A-Family” initiative provides holiday meals, including a ham and all the traditional fixings, to local families in need throughout the region. For every 25,000 True Rewards points contributed, Aquarius and Edgewater will purchase and donate one box of holiday food, enough to feed a family of four.
Since the program began in 2012, Aquarius and Edgewater have helped feed thousands of local families. In 2024, the silent auction raised more than $17,000, enough to feed 530 families. Participating food pantries include ACS Food Bank, BHC Homeless Youth Program, Bullhead Regional Food Bank, Colorado River Food Bank, Cornerstone Mission, Golden Valley Family Resources, Havasu Community Health Foundation Food Bank, Isabel’s Pantry, Kingman Food Bank, Mohave Valley Food Pantry, Nana’s Pantry, Needles Community Partners, Set Free Church and St. Vincent de Paul.
