LAKE HAVASU CITY – Three companies applied for liquor licenses at the last Lake Havasu City Council meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The Copper Still Distillery, Streetside Coffee Co, and Humbertos Taco Shop were each approved for liquor licenses.
The council appointed Vincent Tolomeo for a seat on the Lake Havasu AirportAdvisory Board to replace a seat that is coming vacant. Applicant Vincent Tolomeo described his 50 years of pilot experience, including time in the U.S. Navy and Air Force. “I’m retired. Like Vice Mayor Lane, I have nothing better to do. So I decided to try and help the community out and volunteer for the advisory board at the airport. I have 50 years of civilian and military experience and hopefully I can help out,” said Tolomeo.
The meeting turned to the city’s water supply. A professional services agreement was considered with Jacobs Engineering Group with the intention of creating backup water sources in Lake Havasu City. The council voted to update the Water Master Plan to increase water sustainability.
Lastly, the council approved inspection services being provided for the 2019 Water Main Replacement Project by Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc.
The next meeting of the Lake Havasu City Council will be Jan. 14, 2020. There was initially a meeting scheduled for Dec 24, but it has been cancelled.
