A Taste of Havasu returns

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Save your taste buds and experience delicious refreshments as A Taste of Havasu makes a comeback this month.  With more than 20 restaurants in participation, Taste of Havasu is being brought to you by the K12 Foundation.

The K12 Foundation was created in 2003. They have partnered up with individuals, local businesses, and organizations to produce funds for school assignments and activities. K12 Foundation provides tax deductible financial assistance.

When you become a member of K12 and dedicate time, the help you give offers better opportunities for the youths of Havasu.  Another goal of K12 Foundation is to create a support system for teachers, students, and administration along with the Lake Havasu Unified School District #1.

K12 Foundation is a non-profit group that gives Lake Havasu students the needed educational tools to succeed in their studies and in the classroom.  Their intention is to prevent inadequate funds needed for education from the state government.

The K12 Foundation is a necessity to save educational programs and resources so that children can receive a more well rounded education.  K12 Foundation hosts other multiple charitable events throughout the year such as district rallies and presentations.

The anticipation is building as A Taste of Havasu makes its sweet return.  Especially if you’re someone looking to satisfy those sweet tooth cravings.  Your sugar fix can be easily satisfied with Donut Post at this year’s event. The 20-year-old bakery sells a wide variety of fruit filled turnovers, fancy cakes, muffins, and yeast donuts.

For those who enjoy an authentic Mexican cuisine, you’re in luck because Javelina Cantina will be there offering you a taste of their Sonoran styled menu items.  You can also enjoy sipping the elegantly upscale wines provided by SummeRay Wine Bar..

Aside from their wide selections of exquisite wines, SummeRay also serves flavorful salads and entrees.

We’re not sure exactly which tasty samples the restaurants will share, so the only way to find out is to attend. Don’t miss this unique culinary experience to support a great cause.

Taste of Havasu will be held on Wednesday, October 18 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Sara Park Rodeo Grounds. This is a Havasu favorite, so tickets will sell fast.
