No obstructions for Fun Run

Crews hope to substantially complete Beale Street construction by Friday, May 3. However, no matter what stage construction is at , crews will cleanup and open Beale St. completely, so there will be no obstructions to parking or traffic Friday and throughout the “Fun Run” weekend. Sixth St. will also be completely open with no obstructions. Crews will resume construction Monday, May 6 and work to finish the project next week. Police searching for two men in robbery

The Mohave County Sheriff’s office has distributed surveillance system images hoping the public can help them identify two suspects who broke into a Fort Mohave business. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the male subjects entered a back door of the business in the 5500 block of Highway 95 early Thursday morning. Mortensen said surveillance video shows the men first looting a cash register in the kitchen are of the establishment. “The men then entered the office area of the business and went through cabinets and files,” a news release stated. “The men then pried open a safe located on the…

The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) has posted the 2019-20 Arizona Hunting Regulations online at www.azgfd.gov/draw. The department now is accepting paper applications for 2019 hunt permit-tags issued through the draw process for deer, fall turkey, fall javelina, bighorn sheep, fall bison and sandhill crane. Note: In a significant change, this will be the first time that applications will be accepted as part of the fall draw process for sandhill crane. Milling and paving starting Monday night, May 6

The City of Kingman received regulatory approvals from the Arizona State Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), crews are finished with work on tie-ins. Crews are completing miscellaneous concrete work, and removing the old fire hydrants, as well as finishing up with the culvert work. BLM seeks nominations to Arizona Resource Advisory Council

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announced that it is seeking public nominations for positions on 31 Resource Advisory Councils (RACs) nationwide, including Arizona’s RAC. These citizen-based committees assist in the development of recommendations that address public land management issues. The BLM maintains 38 such advisory committees formally chartered under the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and the Federal Policy and Land Management Act (FLPMA) across the West. Of those committees, 31 are RACs and the remainder site or subject-specific Advisory Councils.
