Frozen Yogurt Island celebrates nine years

KINGMAN – Frozen Yogurt Island is celebrating nine years of business this week in Kingman. Owners Nancy and Martin Villanueva are observing their anniversary by offering half off on all yogurt all day on Friday, Dec. 6. The Villanuevas also offer a veterans discount all day everyday.

The Villanuevas decided to create Frozen Yogurt Island in 2010 due to Kingman needing more dessert locations. In addition to frozen yogurt with a wide array of topping choices, the venue offers Boba tea, acai bowls, edible cookie dough, juice poppers, and doggy yogurt. “We stand out from other dessert shops because our staff is so friendly and we offer the most delicious yogurt in town!” said Nancy Villaneuva. “We have made so many new friends, and enjoy meeting new people who come into our shop.”

Frozen Yogurt Island sponsors community organizations including area softball, baseball, and soccer teams, as well as Kingman Middle School Band Boosters. The dessert shop was the recipient of the 2015 Small Business Development Center award, 2017 Andy Award for Best in Business and the 2018 Kingman Daily Miner People’s Choice award.

Frozen Yogurt Island is located in the Home Depot shopping center, 3880 Stockton Hill Rd., Suite 104, 928-692-7873. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
