KINGMAN, Ariz. – A Mohave Valley crime spree results in a decade-long prison sentence for Caden Vasquez. The 23-year-old transient was sentenced Oct. 5.

Authorities said a victim chased Vasquez following a June 22 burglary at a gravel pit in the 2800 block of Laguna Road. Vasquez reportedly abandoned the stolen vehicle he occupied when it became disabled.

Deputy Mohave County Attorney Leah Nelson said child pornography was discovered among the contents of two Vasquez cellphones found in the vehicle.

Vasquez entered a plea agreement convicting him of theft of means of transportation and sexual exploitation of a minor-related charges.

In addition to 10 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections, Judge Billy Sipe ordered post-prison lifetime probation for Vasquez.
