BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – The Bullhead City Police Department (BHCPD) has provided additional details of a deadly Thursday shooting, emanating from an altercation involving family members. BHCPD Public Information Officer Emily Fromelt said it has been determined that Julio Quijada, 26, Bullhead City was the aggressor in the violence that occurred at about 7 p.m. outside a home in the 3000 block of Coral Isle Drive.
Fromelt said Quijada allegedly shot and killed a 22-year-old man who was dead at the scene with gunshots to his chest, back and head. She said a 23-year-old man allegedly shot by Quijada was in critical condition when flown to a trauma center in Las Vegas.
Another unidentified male who allegedly shot at Quijada is sought by police. Quijada was released following treatment of a gunshot wound to the abdomen and booked into the Adult Detention Center in Kingman for second degree murder and other charges.
Investigation is ongoing.
