MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. – Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s September 14, ruling regarding proposed changes to U.S. Postal Service procedures for election mail, the Mohave County Recorder’s Office is reminding voters that the November 3, General Election remains on schedule and encouraging voters to make a plan for casting and returning their ballot.
Mohave County voters may vote early in person, return an early ballot by mail, drop off an early ballot at an authorized location, or vote in person on Election Day.
Early voting begins October 7 and continues through October 30. All registered Mohave County voters are eligible to vote at an authorized early voting location. The Bullhead City, Kingman, and Lake Havasu City locations will be open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed Monday, October 12. On October 30, locations will remain open until 7 p.m.
Voters who choose to vote by mail are encouraged to return their ballot as early as possible and allow sufficient time for postal delivery. Voters who prefer not to rely on USPS may drop off a completed early ballot at an authorized ballot drop-off location, an early voting location, or the Mohave County Recorder’s Office at the Mohave County Administration Building in Kingman during business hours.
Arizona is an in-hand state, meaning voted ballots must be received by election officials no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
2026 General Election Dates
• Voter Registration Deadline: October 5
• Early Voting Begins & Early Ballots Mailed: October 7
• Last Day for In-Person Early Voting: October 30, by 7:00 p.m.
• General Election Day: November 3
The Recorder’s Office encourages voters not to wait until the last minute. Those returning ballots by mail should allow adequate time for delivery. Voters who want to ensure their ballot is physically delivered to election officials can use an authorized ballot drop-off location.
