LAKE HAVASU CITY — A California resident man will serve time in the Arizona Department of Corrections after admitting he imported drugs he intended to sell in Lake Havasu City. Bryan Keddy, 52, entered a plea agreement in Kingman on Feb. 27, 23 days after he was arrested following a traffic stop in the vicinity of E Chenoweth Drive and N Notting Hill Road.
The 2019 Honda Civic driven by Keddy was searched after K9 Echo alerted during an open-air sniff of the vehicle. Well more than one pound of methamphetamine and more than 18 grams of fentanyl was seized.
A police report indicated Keddy made admissions when questioned by police. “He claimed he had transported the methamphetamine into Lake Havasu City to sell large quantities of drugs for a profit,” it said.
Multiple felony offenses are dismissed in exchange for Keddy’s conviction for a charge reduced to attempted transportation of dangerous drugs for sale. Keddy faces a 2-4-year prison term when sentenced March 26.
