Young Kingman man arrested for abuse of infant

KINGMAN — A young Kingman man has admitted striking and shaking his infant son over several days, according to the Kingman Police Department. Officers were summoned to Kingman Regional Medical Center where hospital personnel were treating the 2-month-old victim on Friday, August 22.

“Investigators learned that the child had significant bruising to the face and body and it was later determined the child had a brain bleed and was flown to Phoenix Children’s Hospital for advanced care,” said deputy Police Chief Joel Freed. He said German Bogert, 20, was arrested and booked into the Adult Detention Facility for child abuse and aggravated assault charges.
