KINGMAN — The campus of Kingman’s In-N-Out hamburger store is newly decorated. Chandler-based Redd Construction has completed a massive landscaping project at the eatery located between Interstate 40 and Kingman Regional Medical Center at 1770 E. Beverly Avenue.
It was a two-month-long project.
“There’s about 1,600 plants here and about 300 tons of granite,” Randy Redd said. “You see we have barrel cactus, prickly pear and ocotillo. We’ve tried to use plants requiring less water.”
The design includes two palm trees crossing one another. Redd said the cross palms are the corporate signature for In-N-Outs.
Harry Snyder founded In-N-Out in 1948 and his favorite movie movie was ‘It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad world’, a 1963 film featuring a strong cast of characters searching for treasure found buried under palm trees.
Redd said the restaurant chain believes in being a good corporate citizen.
“They just want the property to look good,” he said. “It’s kind of the In-N-Out culture to beautify.”
There are no franchisees and the Snyder family business operates more than 400 stores in Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Idaho.
