The United States Disgrace

letter to the editor

Dear Editor,

What have we become? In our name, yes, your and my name, we are allowing a billionaire owned administration to throw out our Constitution and torture men, women and children because of the color of their skin. These are not foreign invaders but Christians who have come to us to do the work we can’t or won’t do anymore. We are allowing an elite, inept out of touch bureaucracy to vilify and dehumanize a group of people because they are poor and aren’t white skinned, to make them the other and less than us so we can feel OK with treating them with less respect and love that we give our animals.

This idiocracy has taken a tiny air base with infrastructure designed for a couple hundred staff at best and put over a thousand fellow humans there in tented cages with overflowing sewage, bright 24-7 sleep depriving lights, spoiled food that no bid government suppliers can’t sell and deny these working poor any human rights. Disease will run rampant, and people will die here, simply because they want to work and live in a better land.

How do we, the people of the United States, justify or rationalize the fact that a corrupt lawless administration is doing this in our names? We have become a disgrace to ourselves and a World that once held our promise of a better life as a gold standard to try to emulate. The “golden door” of Lady Liberty’s signature poem has become a stinking swamp hell hole of despair.
