BLM seeks initial input on proposed Antler copper mine near Yucca

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on the proposed Antler copper mine in Mohave County. The proposed mine would sit on about 192 acres of mixed public and private lands near Yucca.

If approved, Antler Operations Inc. could construct, operate, and maintain a new copper mine, ancillary facilities, and an associated powerline. The company would be required to return the land to its natural state after eventual closing of the mine. The mine and some ancillary facilities would be on about 181 acres of private lands with other ancillary facilities on about 10 acres of public lands.

Additional information is available at the BLM National NEPA Register, where comments may be submitted through the ‘Participate Now’ option (preferred). Comments may also be emailed to BLM_AZ_KFOWEB@blm.gov or delivered to BLM Kingman Field Office, Attn: Antler Mine Project, 2755 Mission Blvd., Kingman, AZ 86401. The public comment period closes July 8.

For more information, please contact the Kingman Field Office at 928-718-3700.
