Five killed in weekend crash in White Hills

WHITE HILLS – Five people were killed in a two-vehicle collision about 40 miles north of Kingman. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) said the incident occurred at White Hills at 2:17 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 93.

“A 4-door Jeep station wagon was reported wrong-way northbound in the southbound lane and moments later the crash occurred,”DPS said. “The wrong-way vehicle, containing two adult males, collided head-on with a four-door Hyundai station wagon, containing a male adult a female adult and a young child.”

DPS said both vehicles caught fire and the victims died from blunt force trauma and fire related injuries. Their names are withheld initially.

Investigators believe impairment played a role in the collision.
