KINGMAN — A Tropical Smoothie Cafe is springing up in the parking lot of the Cerbat Lanes Bowling alley in the 3600 hundred block of Stockton Hill Road in Kingman. Allie and Steve Palmieri opened their first Cafe on Mesquite Avenue in Lake Havasu City in June, 2023 after purchasing property for stores in Lake Havasu, Kingman, Bullhead City and Flagstaff.

“There’s 28 locations in all of Arizona and we have not been below the top five ever, since opening,” Allie said. She said the Palmieri’s hope for continued success with the Kingman store they will construct and hope to open in October.

Blacktop has been excavated from the parking lot where Palmieri Construction, Inc. will build the 1,900 sq. ft. store that will offer drive- through service with a dine-in option.

Bright-colored, tasty drinks are featured in the smoothie stores.

“I would say we have a variety of probably 18-to-22 smoothies at any time and our most popular is called the detox island green,” Allie said. It is made with banana, mango, pineapple, ginger, spinach and kale. There is no added sugar and we don’t use any juice.”

Customer smoothie addition options include health supplements such as whey and pea protein for Vegans, vitamins including B-12, fat burners and energizers.

“You can pretty much customize any smoothie you like,” she said. “We are super excited to bring in something that Kingman doesn’t have available to them, and offer that fast, healthy, better for you option.”

Allie said combo meal-smoothie purchases are popular with a mix of wraps, flat bread, quesadillas, acai and other food bowls, sandwiches, a breakfast menu, yogurts and more.

Civic engagement is important to the Palmieri’s.

“We are very big into supporting the community,” she said. “We get out into the schools and support teachers. We really love to do fundraising nights for schools, any sports or extra-curricular clubs. We look forward to being out in the Kingman community as well.”

Allie said variables complicate the possible sequence and timetables for future stores in Bullhead City, Flagstaff and Prescott.
