MOHAVE COUNTY –Mohave Community College (Mohave College beginning August 2025) Fire Science students from the class 25-2 were celebrated for their accomplishments during a ceremony with friends, family and colleagues at the Mohave Valley Fire Department station Friday, March 7.

This is the first cohort to go through an 8-week program.

Fire Science students learn practical techniques for fighting fires and also study the theories of fire fighting techniques. MCC’s Fire Science programs cover a wide range of classes designed to prepare students for entry-level firefighter positions and for advanced or promotion opportunities in fire services. The Associate of Applied Science degree in Fire Science provides a general education and technical training to succeed as a fire service professional.

Fire Academy Fall 2025 application is now open. The deadline is March 31, 2025, by midnight. To learn more about the Fire Science program, visit Mohave.edu/FireScience.
