Affordable housing, cancer screenings discussed at LHC council

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Logan Simpson Design Inc Professional Services will be updating Lake Havasu’s general plan for land use, transportation, and housing.  Since 2016, challenges faced have been with population growth, community changes, and economic development. This motion was passed in the amount of $225,000 for the November 2026 elections.

Lake Havasu will be prioritizing housing within city operations to create safe and affordable housing for all community members for short term rentals and housing residents in Arizona.

Nonprofit American Lung Cancer Association will be increasing lung cancer screenings in Lake Havasu.  Future plans and call to action will include health fairs, petitions, along with flyers distributed in hospitals, CBD stores and tobacco shops.  The nonprofit will also have public service announcements with newspapers, radio, and television stations.
