Havasu’s 2nd Annual Bike Rodeo is coming

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The many community programs given by the Lake Havasu City Police Department provide individual interest for parents and youths. This weekend, the law enforcement team will be offering information that both parents and children will find useful at this year’s second annual Lake Havasu Police Department Bike Rodeo.

The bike rodeo will be designed for ages three to fourteen that can permit bicyclists to utilize and obtain practices that can make them better bikers. The comeback event will include a bike registration booth, helmet fit-check station, and safety checks.

There will also be an obstacle course there to see what was learned along with fun prizes. The LHCPD Bike Rodeo will be taking place on Saturday, January 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lake Havasu Police Department. This event is free to the public.

Not only is bicycle safety a legal obligation for minors, this event will share head injury prevention, how to handle unexpected situations while riding to make sure the activity remains fun, and of course, safe.
