Lake Havasu City receives the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Administrative Services Department is pleased to announce that it has received the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its Fiscal Year 2024-2025 budget.

The award is a form of acknowledgment in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. It reflects the governing body’s and staff’s commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting.

“I’m very proud of the City team’s dedication in preparing the fiscal year 2024-2025 budget,” said Administrative Services Director Jill Olsen. “Every year, our team works diligently to produce a budget document that exceeds nationally recognized standards.”

The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association with more than 20,000 members of federal, state, provincial, and local finance officials deeply involved in planning, financing, and implementing thousands of governmental operations in each of their jurisdictions. GFOA’s mission is to advance excellence in public finance.
