LAKE HAVASU CITY – Six and nine-year-old siblings were not harmed when abducted by their father, according to the Lake Havasu City Police Department (LHCPD). The agency has clarified that the children were at the home of their mother when kidnapped from the residence in the 3800 block of Bear Drive during the early evening of Nov. 12.
The LHCPD said 40-year-old Kevin Walton did not use any force, but that he does not have custody and had neither permission nor authority to take the children to southern California where he was in hiding when arrested by U.S. Marshals on Nov. 14.
Extradition efforts are underway to return Walton to Arizona for prosecution.
