LHCPD Police Explorer program receives donation

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Police Department Explorer Program has received a generous $1,000 donation. The check, presented by Myles Nelson on behalf of the Lake Havasu Association of Realtors, was presented to Officer Mike Thornhill and School Resource Officer Dwain Fernandez, who also serve as Advisors for the LHCPD Police Explorers.  

Exploring is a career education program for young men and women who are at least 14 (and completed the eighth grade) and not yet 21 years old through Learning for Life, a division of the Boy Scouts of America. Law Enforcement Exploring provides career-oriented experiences; leadership opportunities and community service activities centered on law enforcement careers.
