BCSD launches anonymous parent survey

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City School District has opened an anonymous survey to help improve relationships between families and schools. Surveys are anonymous, and no personally identifying information can be tracked or maintained. Designed by Panorama Education, the survey is designed to help educators use data to improve student outcomes. It will also help the district find ways to better reach and involve parents and guardians. BCSD’s survey may be found online at https://surveys.panoramaed.com/crsk12az/family/surveys. “Parental involvement is a critical part of any school’s education team,” said Jennifer Lott, BCSD’s director of educational services. “Students with involved parents are proven to have better academic performance, social and interaction skills and self-confidence, with fewer behavioral and disciplinary issues.” The 33-question multiple choice survey takes less than three minutes to complete. Topics include parents’ perceptions of school, engagement and communication barriers, and general background questions. Parents with students in more than one BCSD school have the option to complete more than one survey, which will close on November 4. Results will be presented to the public during an upcoming BCSD governing board meeting. Survey costs are covered by a grant and do not come out of BCSD’s local operating budget.
