Rumors of Threat to Kingman Schools

KINGMAN – The Kingman Police Department took reports of rumors of a threat of a school shooting targeting Kingman Middle School. Kingman Police School Resource Officers conducted a thorough investigation to determine the source of the rumors and determined that the threat is not credible. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office also received a report of rumors of a school shooting targeting Kingman High School. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Investigators investigated the threat to its fullest and determined it to not be credible and was from the same source. Out of an abundance of caution, law enforcement from Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and Kingman Police Department will be present at the school locations this week.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and the Kingman Police Department take rumors of threats of violence seriously and are investigated to the fullest extent. Law enforcement recommends to always report it. If you hear or see something, to always say something!
