LAKE HAVASU CITY – Some of the best DJs are located right here in Lake Havasu City. Scott Clinton, also known as “DJ King,”embraced his love of music since he was a child. Originally from Southern California, DJ King remembers that his family members either sang or played instruments.

He began DJing in the 1990s and has been going strong ever since.  His favorite style of music ranges from pop, country, and dance. Two other DJS worth exploring are Matt (Matty B) and Lisa Bristlim.

The husband and wife developed an interest in performing while  attending many raves at Southern California’s music scene in the 1990s. Matty B began purchasing records and networking with other DJs which eventually lead to Matty B getting gigs on his own.

Now the DJ’s favorite style of music to play is house music which is basically of an electronic techno nature. One veteran DJ that might be the most recognizable with the residents and tourists of Lake Havasu is Robert Mitchell.

Mitchell got his performance career started in Las Vegas by landing gigs as a musician and background dancer. Mitchell returned to Lake Havasu in the 1970s disco era to be the DJ at one Havasu’s first dance club Hussongs.

His favorite part of the job is being around young people and witnessing the dancing of his beats.  He also enjoys playing hit tunes from the 1980s and hip hop music. Mitchell has now been playing regularly in Havasu for over thirty years.

Are you ready to spend a fun weekend in Lake Havasu and check out the DJ scene?  DJ King plays every Saturday night from 8 p.m. to close at R Bar and Grill.

The Bristlim DJs perform every other Saturday from 8 p.m. to close at Lighthouse Lounge, and you can listen to the sounds of DJ Mitchell by visiting Kokomo Beach Club from 9 p.m. to close every Saturday night. Step up your weekend with the magic of dance and music.
