BULLHEAD CITY –The City of Bullhead City is excitedly announcing the launch of open fields at Rotary Park and Ken Fovargue Park. As of July 16, a section of Soccer fields at Rotary Park, located at 2315 Balboa Dr, and a softball field at Ken Fovargue Park, located at 2255 Trane Rd, will be open to the public every Tuesday and Thursday night from sunset to 10 p.m. The open fields will provide a designated space and time for families and individuals without team or league affiliation to enjoy the fields.
“We are thrilled to introduce the open fields program, offering all community members the chance to utilize our fields for recreational activities,” said Recreation Superintendent David Heath.
Those interested in utilizing the open fields are encouraged to visit Rotary and Ken Fovargue Park during the designated times. The open soccer Fields at Rotary Park will be the West Fields, located South of Balboa Drive and North of the Firebird Field parking lot.
“We opened up the East fields last night, but we’ll be opening up the West Fields going forward,” said Heath.
The open softball field at Ken Fovargue Park will be Softball Field # 1, located just west of the parking lot.
The initiative responds to the community’s feedback, which expressed a desire to utilize the fields during cooler evening hours.
“We hope this initiative provides a space for everyone to enjoy outdoor activities,” Heath said. “We look forward to seeing the community come together and enjoy the open fields at Rotary and Ken Fovargue Park.”
