Golden Valley sees rash of mail theft

GOLDEN VALLEY – A recent rash of mail thefts in the Golden Valley area is under investigation by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and the United States Postal Service.

Mailbox clusters in the following areas were targeted:

4900 block of Mormon Flat Rd.; 1300 block of Estrella Rd.; 1300 block of Verde Rd.; Burro Dr. and Santa Cruz Rd.; Burro Dr. and San Pedro Rd.; Hermit Dr. and Colorado Rd., Chinle Dr. and Cove Rd.; Chinle Dr. and Davis Rd.

“In an effort to combat these crimes, you are urged to collect your mail on a daily basis and not leave any items in your mailbox overnight,” said MCSO spokeswoman Anita Mortensen. “Furthermore, please be vigilant of suspicious vehicles and/or subjects in these areas. If able to do so safely, attempt to get photographs of suspicious vehicles, license plates, and subjects in these areas.”
