You Bet Your Life

Dear Editor,

“You Bet Your Life” was a TV series from 1950 through 1960 starring the inevitable Groucho Marx where he always asked the operative question, “What is the Secret Word “?

When it comes to your life as an average citizen in Kingman what would be the “secret word” for our town and its people? I am not talking about putting labels on issues like roads, traffic, taxes etc. but rather the real “secret word” has been that of the common man on the streets of Kingman, an almost silent word. It is easy to let sleeping dogs lay but the very future of Kingman may be at stake if we don’t vote in a stronger voice for the people. Kingman City Council needs a dedicated, reliable, mainstream, yet community-based and oriented people’s voice on the Kingman City Council.

I have shown you that peer person in my example and effort making public and bringing forward critical issues no other candidates have addressed. You might even notice a few are borrowing from my community-based platform. I know the time is overdue for the voice of the Kingman people across our demography to be heard and ring clearly in guiding our City Council into the future.

I know Kingman can do better working together without conflicting special interests. I have a broad life experience and a constitutionally based attitude of teamwork leading to excellence and success. I am a regular guy, a citizen just like you, not part of the ongoing woodwork. My passion is to integrate the opinion of the average citizen into every decision the city council must rule on.

As Groucho used to say: “Use your voice for kindness, your ears for compassion, your hands for charity, your mind for truth, and your heart for love”. You can bet your life on it.
