Teen violates probation in ‘week one’

KINGMAN – A Kingman teenager was arrested for a weapons related offense just one week after he was placed on probation for his involvement in a Sept., 2023 drive by shooting. Ethan Sanchez, 16, was placed on probation on Friday, March 15 for a drive by shooting solicitation conviction.

The Kingman Police Department said Sanchez was allegedly drunk and disorderly when he was asked to leave a party in the 300 block of Astor Ave. on Friday, March 22. Deputy Police Chief Joel Freed said no one was hurt when Sanchez fired multiple rounds from a handgun outside as he left the residence and area on foot.

Freed said Sanchez was apprehended a short time later and jailed for disorderly conduct and discharging a firearm in the city limits. A probation violation allegation has also been lodged.
