It’s Spring Break in Havasu again

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu is one of the number one hotspot destinations for college student’s spring break. Last week, many students from all over flocked to the town to enjoy warm breezy weather, laying out on the beach, and outdoor recreational activities.

March is typically the month that many campuses have that seven-day break from the lectures and books. The most common visitors who come out to enjoy the spring breaks in Lake Havasu are usually from California, Colorado, and Washington state.

College Students Anna, Lillian, & Cassidy of Gorgoza University in Spokane Washington spend a day at Rotary Park for Lake Havasu’s Spring Break.

If you’re able to catch up with some of the spring breakers, their reasoning behind choosing Havasu for the much needed time off is a combination of the attractive touristy location and the people that live here. Friends Lillian, Cassidy, and Anna of Gorgoza University in Washington state spend the afternoon sprawling out their beach towels on the sand in Rotary Park.

A crowd of many other spring breakers were playing volleyball, swimming and socializing. Lillian says she returns each year to catch up with the many friends she has in Arizona, Cassidy says she loves the laid back environment and scenery, and for Anna the most exciting thing about her visit here is meeting new people her age from various colleges. March 19 was the official first day of spring, however there’s no harm in welcoming and enjoying the season a little early.
