It was in 2016, that the volunteer group formed The Freedom Foundation. Throughout the years, the Freedom Foundation has made it their goal to honor groups and individuals who have fought for American freedoms.
Navajo Code Talkers, Havasu pioneers, first responders, and veterans, are just some of the many honorees that the walkway has previously celebrated. Themed with “Moments of Freedom,” the Havasu Memorial Walkway Dedication Ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 17 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Havasu Memorial Walkway.
With the growth of Havasu residencies on the rise, talk of construction for a second bridge is in the air. The walkway will be intended to connect the two bridges, and a most cherished gift; the lasting connection between the present, and our nation’s historic heroes.
