Buses by the Bridge returns

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Come out and explore Volkswagen buses from all over the world brought to you by Buses by the Bridge. This event has been a family favorite since the 1990s and guarantees fun activities for everyone.

Buses by the Bridge is a non-profit organization who shares a love for Volkswagen buses. The 27th Annual Buses by the Bridge event will showcase the many different models of the Volkswagen vehicle, new and old.

This event will welcome vans, trailers, and motorhomes as the space can accommodate more than 600 cars. Parking is first come, first served.

There will be raffle drawings, cornhole, children bounce houses, and much more. Spectator entrance fee is $5 per person.

Buses by the Bridge will open Thursday, January 11 at 9 a.m. with wood purchases available to attendees until they’re all gone. Pre-registration will begin as well, starting at 10 a.m.

Thursday is pretty much a settling in day; the real fun begins Friday. The  three-day event will end Sunday, January 14 with an early pancake breakfast provided by Boy Scouts.

Why all the fuss about these buses? Aside from the organization’s love for the nostalgic cars, they also enjoy giving back to the youth of the community.

Proceeds will go to Lake Havasu High School, Parks and Recreation, and Lake Havasu Boy Scouts.

Bring the family out to experience this three-day blast to the past event and of course, pets are allowed too! As long as they stay on a leash at all times.
