One injury in high-speed crash

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City police said speed and possible impairment are factors of focus in the investigation of a traffic accident that seriously injured a local man. Sergeant Eddie Espinoza said an officer was southbound on highway 95 when a BMW motorcycle passed at a high rate of speed at about 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24.

The officer estimated the motorcycle was speeding about 90 miles an hour when it blew through a red light at Ramar Road and then again at Hancock Road where it struck a Toyota Camry in the intersection. The driver of the Camry and a child passenger were not hurt.

Espinoza said Jonnie Seely, 40, was ejected when the motorcycle he was operating collided with the car. He was transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center and then flown to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
