KINGMAN – Site preparation is underway on the Kingman hilltop for construction of a state-of-the art physical therapy clinic. T.R. Orr, Inc. will build the 16,000 square foot facility at the intersection of Maple and Andy Devine Avenue, just north of the R & R Body Shop.
Dr. Christopher Reno plans to close his Northern Arizona Physical Therapy Associates office on Stockton Hill Road, and rebrand an expanded service operation when he opens his brand-new Northern Arizona Health Club by early 2025, if not sooner.
“It’s going to be a gym and it’s going to be a physical therapy clinic,” Reno said. He explained therapy services will be offered to help injured people recover, but that anyone in the community can purchase membership allowing use of the gym and advanced training equipment.
“We already have an infrared therapy table at our clinic and it’s the best one on the market, the Nova 4 that all the professional athletes use,” Reno said. “We’re trying to bring to Kingman these modalities that you can see these athletes rehabbing with and you can use if you get a membership or pay for a day pass at our gym.”
The new clinic will feature infrared therapy and a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, but Reno is most excited about a $1-million investment in aquatic components.
“We actually have three therapy pools. I believe they’re 14 by 18 ft.,” Reno said. “Each one has a treadmill in it and they’re paddle wheel pools that have the current. You can swim in them like they’re an endless pool, so theoretically you can swim laps or you can do plyometric, running or side-stepping so it helps the rehab process for people who have knee replacements or anything like that.”
Dr. Reno has been in business in Kingman for eight years and has operated another clinic in Bullhead City for six years.
