For the Luv of Paws Open House will be held

GOLDEN VALLEY – For the Luv of Paws organizer Cherie DaLynn advises that the domestic animal rescue and sanctuary will continue with its 13th Annual Open House on Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29. Hours are Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“All events for our open house are outdoors, with opportunity for people to adhere to social distancing recommendations. There will be no indoor activities,” said DaLynn.

There will be opportunity to tour the facilities, meet and interact with dogs, cats, and ferrets, and meet the special guest of honor, Walter, an orphaned burro who has been deemed the ‘Mayor of Oatman.”  Walter will be available Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. only. Refreshments will be available and there will be goodie bags for kids.

The event will be held at 8115 W. Oatman Hwy. on Route 66, eight miles northeast of Oatman; 15 miles southwest of the intersection of Shinarump Dr. and Oatman Hwy, between Cool Springs and Ed’s Camp, at mile marker 33.

Donations of dry cat food, dog food, and supplies to the rescue help to defray operating costs and are welcome and appreciated.

For further information call DaLynn at 928-897-7304.
