One killed in fiery crash

BULLHEAD CITY – One person was fatally injured in a fiery, three-vehicle collision in Bullhead City. Police responded at 1:17 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6 to the intersection of Highway 95 and Retail Way.

Sgt. Eddie Espinoza said a Nissan Rogue stopped at a red light was pushed ahead into the rear of a Honda Accord when it was struck from behind by a Hyundai Accent.

“The Accent caught fire which spread to the Rogue, and as a result, both the Accent and the Rogue became engulfed by fire,” Espinoza said. “Passersby assisted in removing the adult female passenger from the Hyundai before it was engulfed in flames.”

The Hyundai passenger whose name was not released died following transport to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. No other injuries were reported and the incident remains under investigation.
