Seems there is a plan afloat by our wonderful Republican legislature to rewrite the election rules for Arizona. Other states are jumping on the bandwagon as well. Why? Because they don’t like the outcome of the past election and they are going to “fix” the system. The Goldwater Institute is also involved, by dragging Proposition 208 (funding Education Bill) through the Arizona Supreme Court as unconstitutional. Never mind voters approved the proposition, or that lower courts would not rule to temporarily block 208 from taking effect. We are faced with a bunch of sore losers who can’t figure out any other way to win elections besides rigging the process so their party cannot lose. I’ve heard the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result. Just how many recounts do the numbskulls want?
Shawnna Bolick, State Representative, and wife of Arizona Supreme Court Judge Clint Bolick (formerly of The Goldwater Institute), has a plan which seemingly tosses every ballot out and allows our “leaders” to overrule the state’s elections and appoint presidential electors of their own choosing. How is that for disenfranchising voters? I do believe it was Donald Trump who said something to the effect of, mail-in voting would mean Republicans would lose very election.
It seems to me, the only way to ensure impartiality in this state is to vote these people out of office. If these brilliant people get their way, there will be no need for elections, except to make sure those in power are re-elected to “represent the people.”
Apparently the wall, which the former president loved, was cut open and a couple of vans loaded with undocumented immigrants drove through with tragic results. Just goes to show, those with the will can always figure out a way in, by tunnel or other nefarious means. And Andrew Cuomo being pilloried by everyone while Trump admitted grabbing women’s privates and not even evangelicals objected.
Hypocrisy reigns on both sides folks. Get used to it!

Just keep track of how Regina Cobb and Sonny Borrelli, and Leo B., vote on these monsters, as they are straight party line voters. And each side of the Arizona legislature are only one vote from ties. Traitors to the rights of voters. Totally arrogant to voters of referenda. Only the geniuses of the Arizona legislative majorities know ANYTHING, everyone else are morons.

Although my bona fides as a social conservative may never have been questioned by some local GOP members, my fiscal ones have; yet, even I cannot fathom how a Party that prides itself on its fiscal conservatism can try to justify expenses for frivolous lawsuits of this sort (see “Judge penalizes AZGOP for election suit”–Arizona Capitol Times, March 15, 2021).
This article goes on to state that “Jack Wilenchik, the attorney for the state GOP, promised an appeal…”–oh really? And how much more is that going to cost the Party? I, as a longtime AZGOP donor, will not contribute another dime in response to their poor-mouth appeals until some sanity is restored to our budget and spending priorities.
