Annual fog sealing begins today

LAKE HAVASU CITY – In an effort to preserve our roadways, The Lake Havasu City Public Works Department is announcing the start of its Fog Seal Program. This project is for five weeks and is today, Monday, March 8. The fog sealing process is an efficient and cost effective method of prolonging the useable service life of asphalt pavement.

Residents and businesses, located along streets being improved, will receive notice at least five days in advance of the construction and again 24-hours prior to the work. The City asks that residents remove all vehicles from the streets and avoid releasing water into the street, during the time that they are scheduled for work.

As always, the public is requested to use caution when traveling through construction zones.  Traffic cones, arrows, and other devices will delineate travel lanes.  Motorists can expect some lane and access restrictions, as well as minor delays. For more information, please contact Lake Havasu City at 928-855-3377.
